Had my 2x catalytic converters replaced.

Went with Magnaflow OEM spec 50 state legal ones and they are stout!

    Gained some lost power back

Lowered engine temps by around 5 degrees

Gained around 2-3 lost freeway MPG, haven't fully tested it yet.

I have 193k miles on the truck and they were dirty but not destroyed, Felt overdue.

And my truck has these little jewels. Where if you have a large drink, you have to slide the second cupholder out and put it in there.. And if you have two large drinks? You're SOL buddy.

And who's idea was it to put the little fold out poker table cup holders in the back seat? That's just embarrassing.

Changed my speedometer gear since it was way off with the 4.88's and 33's. It's still off a little but it is a hell of a lot closer than it was. Went from a 30 tooth gear to a 33 tooth gear. Here is a pic of the old gear.

I researched which one I needed then I went to the local dealership and gave them the part number. Yea. I took it for a short drive and it looks like it's still reading 4 or 5 mph fast but compared to where it was, 10-15 mph fast, I'm happy. 33 tooth is the biggest you can get anyway.

    Yea.

Oh ok. My factory gear was 30 but I have a v6 and the stock gears was 4.10's. From what I've read, you need to figure out what percentage your speedo is off and every tooth bigger on the speedo gear is a couple percent increase. I didn't really get that deep into the research though. I just read enough to figure out that people running my setup was getting the biggest gear that Toyota makes. I found a few good threads on ttora.

Yea that's one of them that I found. I just did the gears over the weekend and knew that if I didn't go ahead and change it now then I wouldn't ever get around to do it. I'm glad I did now and it didn't take 5 mins to take the old one out and put the new one in.

That little fold out tray in the back is actually for a child seat. The cup holders are just a bonus.
