Yea I know! I've been wanting to do it for a while, but I needed tires and to get rid of my spacer lift. Just need to save up for it now

Just installed a new Softopper. Ridiculously happy on how it went together, fit couldn't be better. Too dark now to take pics, taking it camping for 3 days tomorrow. I'll throw some pics up and a mini review when I get back.

Thanks. I've got a cheesy antenna where the cable is attached to the antenna and the adapter/fastener to the cb is attached to the cable. I can't remove it. So I'd have to cut a big enough hole to allow something with a diameter thats about the size of a nickel to pass through. Once that passes through, the cable itself is tiny in comparison and would be hard to seal with silicon.

I'm guessing you have the kind where you can feed only the wire through and then tap it onto the antenna mount. I didn't think of that when I asked.

I should probably just save up and buy a better radio and antenna.

Nice man! I wanted to pick up the rotors too but didn't wanna drop the cash right now. Maybe when I go up in tire size.

its best to do pads and rotors at the same time. You are getting your old rotors turned before the new pads go on, right?

How big of a difference in braking are these? Is it a lot or just a little? Just asking because the improvement in braking could be psychological, kind of like when the butt dyno feels the engine runs smoother and has more power after an oil change :p I am looking for good pads instead of the Tundra brake upgrade and all the cost and down sides that come with that conversion.

No :anonymous: I know you're supposed to but mine really didn't seem that bad. No grooves, no lip, and no pedal pulsing so I just went with it.

It's definitely a noticeable difference. I can stop quicker and with less pressure on the pedal. Huge improvement over what I was running.

    1. Price, you can go the inexpensive route and get used parts but that is still a few bucks for used parts.
    2. There are reports that the pedal has to travel farther for the brakes to grip. Depending on the driver, this could be annoying.
    3. They don't fit some wheels. I am running 17" with spacers, so I am covered there.

I think I will go with these green pads.

I would do this too. Those nuts are probably seized on well enough that they aren't going anywhere. Or if you have a welder, tack the nut to the u bolt after cutting.

cut them flush, but dont bother welding the nut. as long as its torqued its not going anywhere.

    or do a ubolt flip
