What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

How much play is in the steering rack because of the bad bushings? I'd say it's a slight possibity. I have about an inch of play in the stearing rack because my rack bushings are done! I get a little vibe at high speeds but not too bad. When braking I don't feel anything out of the ordinary. See how much play there is by jacking up the front end and shimmy the wheel side to side with your hands at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions on the tire. I checked mine tonight and it moves about .5" to 1". I'm gonna try and replace them this weekend.

 

Just got these in the mail.

 

Bought a scan gauge 2 the other day, it's still in the mail, and I bought an extended rear brake line today so my stock rear brake line isn't a limit strap, gonna install it with a local member tomorrow morning.

 

Put a Nissan seat belt buckle in so a passenger can ride with me.

And added more of this, it helped with misfire I was having, then it burnt out so I.added more.

 

Look like fucking toothpicks...

The trail gear rock defense Bumper is on and painted just need to mount the license without zip ties lol probably gonna order the trail gear license plate mount or make my own we'll see

Working on relocating my rear shocks. One kit for me and one for dennisc.

 

Window tint!! 35% rear, 20% front

 

It looks like a stick of unistrut doesn't it , yeah it'd be better boxed. I do like the multi pre drilled holes tho' maybe for adjustment/angle options

although if it is unistrut then technically it'd be dbl sheered, but still open on the bottom, needing plating in i guess, good idea tho'. hell i'd use it..

No worries, 1st gens are pretty easy as long as fitting isn't siezed, 2nd gens are a pain in the ass

 

Just had an almost seized one.. Guess I ate my wheaties this morning. Was gettin pretty frustrated haha.
