    i never said I didnt have to maintain it. I certainly put gas in it, do the maintenance and fix anything that breaks. I just get the privilege of using it.

    they are both 250s, but I really need a 450 at this point. I tap out every gear on that thing and its a dog in the sand.

    ah. maintenance isn't too bad. i have a 2stroke which is pretty easy maintenance wise. I imagine a 450 would be nice in the sand.

    It took me 8 tries to make it up this big, popular, hill climb out at st anthony sand dunes...i hopped on my buddies kx450 (both with paddles) and sailed right up the sand dune and then wheelied across the top.

    yea, 450s kick ass :laugh:

    Do you guys have any ideas how I could attache some led lights to my tube bumper? I already have the lights they're 4 led cubes that use a single bolt to attach them to a mount. I just dont want to drill holes or weld tabs to the bumper. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

    Its really not a big deal I just cant weld tabs myself and id just rather not drill holes because all the tubes are actually sealed on the ends so water cant get in/rust

    I think drilling holes just big enough for the bolts will be your best bet.

    I'd be worried about the tubing rusting from the inside out. Though you could seal it up with silicone to prevent it I'm sure.

    The amount of rust from a hole that small (eapecially when its filled with a bolt) is so minimal I wouldn't even think twice about it.

    But it looks like you have somone to help you with the tabs.

    The best advice, is have him show you how to weld them on yourself so you can start to do it in the future. Havin a welder as knowing how to use it is an invaluable skill with this hobby

    Finally got new exhaust put on my 96. Looks sick, although probably not practical. Sidepipe with a turbo muffler. Will have pics up when I get back home.
