I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
Such a waste of time when you can get AutpZone CV's with a lifetime warranty. I run them and have had no issues and the boots don't touch as much as the OEM ones do.

Because of the time it takes to do the mod I would rather just swap out the CV then do the boot mod. And you shouldn't do the boot mod on CV's that are ripped. Hell it only takes me about 30 to 45 min to swap out a CV axle so I'll stick with free CV's for life.

They have more fins on the boot then the OEM so the fins that touch don't touch hard helping the boots last longer on a lifted truck. I have 10,000 miles on mine with no sign of ware and my oem boots went about 4000 or 5000 after my lift.

I'm glad I read that... my boots are gonna go soon so I was about to get stuff for the boot slide mod but if you say autozone's are working good for you then that work great for me... I dont offroad quite as hard as you do

Yeah I have never had any issues but i wheel smart. The only time Ive seen CV snap off road is at full lock with a wheel bound up or a locked front end. If i ever get into a spot where my CV is in a bad spot I will back up or winch it out. I'll save the rock bouncing and full lock full throttle rock climbs for after the SAS :D

I'm going with 35's or 37's linked and low if i go 35's I'm aiming for 21 to 22" frame height and 22 to 23" with 37's so about 2 or 4" higher then i am now I'm at 19 now. As for the setup it's still in the air but I'm going with 14" travel King or fox shocks and for the axle I'm going RuffStuff I'm really leaning towards a ford 9" with Dana 60 outers and 5.29 gears and a ARB but I have to do some more research on the ground clearance with a ford 9" and only running 35's or 37's.
