Had to get a new light bar since half of my old light bar went out and I bolted the light bar mounts to the truck so I didn't want it to look dumb with holes on the roof of the truck so I got a 45" double row light bar came out pretty sick after I mounted It

Discovered these holes. Anyone know if it counts toward the frame recall or if toyota will do anything about it? One is the crossmember for the spare tire the other is for the gas tank. Looks like they bolt in place and should be able to be swapped.

There's a recall for the spare cross member. Don't think it works qualify for a frame recall.

Thanks didn't realize that covered the whole crossmember. Took it in awhile ago and they just replaced the winch.

The base coat was a lot cheaper than automotivetouchup or whatever that website is.

I can't remember but if I had to guess it was around $10.

The automotive clear coat was a bit more expensive if my memory serves me well.

Some lift, some armor, some scratches..
I finally got to some maintenance and damage assessment today since last months trip to Rausch Creek.

    Seafoamed
    Oil/filter change, checked all fluids
greased the Zerks (discovered that one lost its 'ball' and is oozing, and another right in front of the pumpkin got sheared right off from a rock)
Gas tank skid was bent to hell and the tank itself bent up a good 1" or so on the outer side of the bottom

Also discovered that the shaft of the Bilstein 5100 on my rear DS........ unscrewed from its bottom mount!!!:eek:

To my surprise the shaft was just sitting on the forward portion of the lower mount and had worn a groove into it. The shaft also poked 2 huge holes through the boot. After removing the shock it seems that it just, unthreaded itself

I was unable to get it to re-thread securely. guess they're stripped or marred up.. I spoke to and have an email to Bilstein to see what can be done.

Everyone with a Bilstein 5100 listen!

    TAKE THE DAMN BOOT OFF

Careful, lots of nasty and old water will probably splash out and it will be obvious why this boot needs to be cut off. If its not obvious, TIPICOTACO can attest to the potential outcome of keeping these waterholders installed.

That's what happened to my one of my 5100's with 60K. I got a popping noise going over bumps. I replaced them with icon remote resiviors.
