Installed a new master cylinder. I don't have any pics of the installation but here's some of the new cylinder. It wasn't that hard to get in but it was just a PITA working in such a tight space.

Replaced the right front wheel bearing, all four swaybar endlink bushings, and changed the oil. Next service due: 300,415.

    Agreed.

A good spotter can be just as good as a rear locker.

It was giving out. My truck would have a hard time getting into first and reverse. Also my clutch is OEM with about 114k miles so I also changed it in hopes that it would help prolong my clutch life. It was pretty cheap i think i only paid like 25 bucks for it. I guess well see what happens but now my truck shifts smoother but is definitely gonna need a clutch replacement in the near future. Any suggestions i has a V6 3.4L?

thanks. I asked because my clutch pedal will stick the the floor once in a blue moon, but that is the only trouble I am having (shifts smooth, no slipping, etc..) So I think its the slave cylinder.

I drained, refilled, and bled the clutch because the fluid was original (175k...lol) and was really dirty. It smoothed out the clutch a bit, but the pedal still sticks once in a blue moon.

I am going to rebuild the slave, because its cheaper, and I like to tinker.

And I say to not worry about replacing the clutch till it starts to slip and takes a shit. My clutch is original at 175k miles, and is fine besides the problems I am having.

Yeah I can't say why you pedal will stick. But wow that's a lot of miles. Hopefully mine will last as long as yours :D. Good luck rebuilding the slave cylinder hopefully it will solve your problem.

It didn't take all too long you should be able to get it done in within three hours easily. I had to move the vacuum box that rights in front of it cuz the lower bolt is nearly impossible to get to unless you have a swivel for your ratchet. On mine the end piece on the rod of the new cylinder wouldn't fit in the hole, so i had to unscrew my old one and put that on. The hardest part is probably adjusting it to your clutch pedal, there isn't much room to work under the dashboard so be prepared to squeeze yourself in. Just be sure to have a buddy around to help you bleed the new cylinder.
