Those icons will last 4 months in Wyo if you're lucky.

I had them on my Legacy after hearing the raving reviews for them. For the first few weeks they were awesome, then they began to become a PITA.

As soon as temps below 35 degrees came, they were useless.

Fair warning, my friend, carry an extra set of all weather wipers in your truck somewhere just in case you're driving in some notorious Wyo winter weather with those icons.

Honestly - for the money... the goodyear wipers they sell at Costco ($7 a piece) out perform those icons on both of my vehicles

    Did you get 18" ?

Do they bump or rub the body around the windshield at all?

I was looking at some contours (just for the hell of it) and for our trucks they suggest 18" even though every other wiper suggest 17"

I asked the guy about it and he said I could get away with 18" no problem

edit: nvm just went back and read your previous post.

    you're getting away with a 19"? wow

Maybe they'll fair better in San Jose.

But with the brutal UV we have here, then the wintry conditions, the icons shat the bed quickly and ended up being incredibly dangerous one drive down from the mountains in 30 degree snowy conditions.

After spending $50+ on the pair, I was pissed when I just trashed them.

I honestly cannot rave enough about these Goodyear assurance blades I got at Costco. $7 or so and I've had them on the truck for two years (through brutal UV summers/heat, harsh mountain/winter driving etc) and they are still performing flawlessly.

Here's a guy on toyotanation raving about them too

    http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/8...k-review-goodyear-assurance-wiper-blades.html

    Here they are on Amazon

Yep a 19" on driver side is prime. 18" on passenger doesn't even hit the molding. Fits like a glove. The fresh snow today makes me want to go and try them out, even though I know how they work. I can't resist testing new things on my truck.

    I have a '98.

    Same size windshield, right?

When I look at the top of my driver's side wiper mark (dirt left on the windshield) it doesn't look like I can afford another inch of wiper without hitting the molding.

I'll give it a try next set of wipers.

Thanks! :) I love my headache rack. :D I was thinking of doing line-x for a while, but I think raptor liner would be a bit better for my application. A little smoother and not quite as rubbery...
lol nice Notice any differences at all?

    Thanks for the pic,

but wth? My 17" wiper clears much more on the lower end than that ^ due to the arc pattern. Does that larger portion of snow left over get in the way of your vision at all?

Costco is certainly the cheapest. Amazon sells them and there's a couple independent places in town here that sells them.

This is year two with this set of Goodyears on the Tacoma and they're still performing flawlessly.

You trolling me or what? I seriously just went out and checked and there's no way your 17" clears more than these. I put on the old one, ran it, and it didn't reach as far down as the new one.

    No trollin' you bro

I'm seriously honored you went and did this.

But I'm serious, that lower "arc" (or whatever you want to call it looks much larger than the one my 17" blade makes.

If it wasn't dark out, I'd go out and take a picture for you... but I'll wait until tomorrow :)

It could be an illusion. You can't see all of the weatherstrip at the bottom so it might seem big. I can even get measurements, it's not that big of a deal. This is intriguing my engineer side.

I'm not an engineer but it's intriguing me too.

I'll take pictures tomorrow and give measurements (no homo)

My '98 and your '03 are the same exact windshield dimensions, right?
