What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I think he is asking everyone where he can buy both of the plugs.

I spilled Maker's Mark in the cab of the truck. Anyone have any advice for getting rid of the smell?

I think my AC compressor seized for a bit, caused smoking in the engine bay. Saw it was coming from that belt. Drove home with defroster off to prevent more damage.

Can I just cut the belt off on a 3.4L since I think it does not affect anything else and be okay with running the truck like normal? I can try to remove it the proper way but it's snowing out and my skid row skid is heavy as fuck to take off right now.

 

Fill a decent sized bowl with distilled white vinegar. Do not cover.

Let it sit in your truck for a day or so. The hotter your cab can get (eg sitting in the sun with the windows up) the better.

 

Apply lips to affected area. Commence inhale. Repeat.

 

Bingo.

Sorry, I meant the part numbers for all 4 drain/fill plugs and the location of the front diff drain and fill. I know where the transfer case and rear diff drain and fill plugs are. I do not know where they are located on the front diff.

yea, i havent had ac for a year cause the idler pulley keeps seizing up. no harm and truck still defrosts fine.

So you just cut it out too?

 

I took the belt off, but the belt only drives the AC so cutting it would have had the same effect.

 

Unless you already bought all the parts ask Logan to make you one.

 

I've already bought everything and am in the process. Just can't get my shrouds to fit right.
