What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Ordered a set of 255/85 KM2's for her today.

Well for what it's worth, it was at -0.5 when I started, and -0.5 and some change when I finished. I couldn't bring it in anymore than that. I have the drivers side bolts maxed out, so I think it's tweaked from a previous front-end collision. It doesn't pull noticeably, so I'm content with that.

Speaking of which, I suspect the rear end is tweaked from some dolt taking out the side of the bed during a lane changing maneuver. Either that or maybe it shifted when one of the U-bolts gave up the ghost.

 

Put my AVID OFFROAD bumper on. Fit perfectly and I would highly recommend their work. I'll post more pics once I gather myself for a build thread.

 

that looks great, I plan on going to them for front/rear bumpers. I have only heard great things about their work.

 

finished my custom exhaust today and was wanting to accompany it with a magnaflow muffler. i will be getting 33s soon so i thought straight pipe with no muffler wasn't going to cut it for power. What do yall think? PS already had flowmaster and that pos's internals fell apart in 6 months. Looking in the $90 range and want to know what yall thought of the sound. Just not to ricey please. oh and if you have a magnaflow are you happy with it.

Curious how the 4.88s feel with regards to throttle response. I'm considering 285/70-17 or even 285/75-17 as my next set.

 

Happy with my 18" Magnaflow. I just need a good muffler tip and eventually Magnaflow cat!

thats good well if i get it it will be single 2.25 in and 3" out the back..maybe this will make a goodsound with that combo

 

That should sound better. I have 2.25 in and out, and im not completely happy with the sound of it. A better cat and tip should solve that though

 

ya i thinking about the 18" and i measured it out and that will give me about 4ft of 3" pipe with a side exit. i also just want some power back and i am guessing the magnaflow will help? maybe

 

the high flow cat will make a big difference in sound.

I am running 2.5'' I/O and 2.5'' piping from the muffler out to a 3'' tip. Sounds bad ass on my 14'' magnaflow

i wouldn't do 3'' pipe tho. The 3.4L won't like that little of BP

 

I very should! And will! Once i finish repairing my audio snake then ill feed a mic out my window and get a hell of a good clip 24/96 resolution

 

even if the 3" pipe is just after the muffler...?

 

I only have the fender liner on my pass side...didn't take em out whenever i put my bumper on...makes me wonder wtf happened to the drivers side haha

Around the neighborhood and going up a few hills it feels great. I can tell I got a little power back. I havent gotten on the interstate yet so I cant comment on that. With 33s my RPMs will probably be a little above 3k at 70. Ill let you know after I get things sorted out with the alternator.

 

Yea, my motor has died twice coming off of high revs due to lack of BP. Once i gut the cat it'll be worse too im sure
