Unless you have fat fingers then the clips are a pain. I wish I had long needle nose pliers.

Lol I was sleepy and looking for my next truck mod, and I forgot how to spell apprentice. So I put master lol :D

Thinking either doing a satoshi grill, should look amazing with a plate bumper. But the center hoop would get in the way of the letters on the grill. Unless I put them on the bumper :)

It was free, and had been sitting for a while, at the time it was parked it needed brake work, and the cab repaired from a limb that fell on it, that was fixed prior to my getting it, but the brakes still needed fixing.

I changed out a lot on the brakes, no more leaks, new brake hoses fixed that, and went with the new calipers, rotors, pads, and master cylinder, and it now stops properly, added a new radio, that i will put a pict up later of, added a bed cover, vent visors, changed out the air filter and vacuumed out the squirrel next that it had in front of the old one, changed all the fluids, inspected all the hoses for wear and dry-rot, didn't find any that needed changing out.

Still have to fix the parking brake cable that is broken 1 inch in front of the spring arm under the cab, least it broke in a good place to get to, and one of the mechanisms in the rear is rusted and locked up, thankfully it isnt lock on, been spraying it with wd40 and will take it apart to clean or replace as needed. the other side works fine. need to fix the drivers side front blinder housing, it keeps coming out and scratched my paint last time it did, so that is a high priority, probably hold it in with some 3m tape till i can get replacement parts cause it looks like the part that holds it in is broken. also have to change out the lights on the instrument panel, half of them are not working.

Nice find, hope the frame is in good shape though. After my 00 tacoma frame rusted out on me. That's the first thing I look at next to engine, transmission and transfer case.

the frame is rusty, but it is all surface rust and i am going to wirebrush it and put a rust treatment on it sometime in the next couple of weeks when it arrives. it was my brother in laws old truck, he doesn't need it anymore cause he got his fathers when he wasn't able to drive anymore. and my wife and i needed a 2nd car after hers was totaled last year in a really bad wreck, she was hit head on, and has been recovering ever since. Her brother lived in CT where he bought this truck new, and did every single maintenance right up till it had a limb fall on it on his last trip down here around 2k9-10, really wish we had transferred the truck to me then cause i could have gotten toyota to look at the frame and do what they do, instead the truck sat for all the years between then and now, he has been here ever since he came down cause he is helping take care of his parents, specifically his father, and he was able to retire early. He has been driving one of the parents vehicles as they had 3 between 2 people. and eventually as my wife and i needed, we got given this truck. been working on it over the weekend and week, and will continue for a few more weeks as i have time, but at least it is safe to drive again. got cleaned up, and "should" not have any serious frame issues, im not going to be offroading with it, worst it will do is haul some things around as a truck tends to do, and im a woodworker so it will bring my supplies home to my shop as needed. basically it will be a daily driver.

Put it off to the side (attached to core/radiator support) IMO, out of the way and doesn't block the appearance of your slick new bumper.
