Totally going to do this on my 03.
I had maglights mounted to the side of each front seat in my 07, but there isnt enough room between the door on the 1st gen's, so this is a perfect spot. Mine is a manual though, so I have cupholders there, going to put mine on the driver side. :D

You need a scangauge to check/clear it!

On that note, my ABS light has been flashing intermittent lately. One day it'll blink constantly, then a few days it'll be off, then it'll come on for a few days. Annoying. Seems like maybe a wheel speed sensor is going out?

bottom far left on the gauge cluster. Its orange, and annoying as hell when it hyper-blinks at night!

Changed out oil pan gasket. Real PITA. discovered that Haynes manual didn't feel like putting the 4x4 directions in their book for this procedure & that on my model the crossmember is welded on under the damn oil pan. Only way to get it out is taking hordes of sh!t off. Took me all frigging day. Ahh but now it's done & hopefully I don't have to worry bout it for another 200k miles. Gonna put in my maglite mount tomorrow.

    Bahaha:laughing:
Yeah, guess I could but I'd like to keep it functional if I can. It seems to stop funny when the light is blinking, so I guess it does do something after all! haha

actually, that seems like it would make sense for the symptom. But then that brings to mind, is it actually the sensor that is going out, or is there possibly dirt/grease affecting it around the wheel bearings, or is it possibly a connection/wiring issue somewhere?

You may not have one, or at least one that can light up. :) Do you have an ABS system on your truck? Not all '02s do. Mine doesn't.
