Installed a truck box and relocated my trailer hookup.

 

Spent some more time cleaning up my firewall clearancing:

Started with a mess like this:



Spent some time cutting away a little more metal where I could, some more time with the BFH, and then cleaned everything up with a flap disk and some seam sealer. Ended like this:



Also took out a little fender and flare at the front of the rear wheel wells:

 

How do I go about cleaning this? Can you even clean it?

 

You can. Need a die grinder

 

I got one but what would I put on the end of it? And how would I get it all the way through the runners?

 

Need aluminum tips and just get as much as you can.

It seems like a lot of build up, you don't think it would help anything for it to be cleaned up?

 

Did some flex today. Tire almost came off the ground. Looking to get more flex. Any recommendations? I'm looking for cheap stuff. I know disconnect the sway bar. For the rear how do I get more travel?

darn okay. Is that enough flex to do some mild off-roading. It has a 3" lift.

 

Hell yea it is. Had enough flex stock to do mild offroading. Don't let mods stop you. Go hit the trails!

You can usually skip the 2000. But the 500 is to get the coating and new metal out. 1000 to get additional and 2000 just for safety. If you don't tow you can usually wait though

 

Ok sounds good, I don't tow but I DD up some pretty steep hills. shoulda bought more diff fluid, dang. I'll probably do the 1kish and then like 3 or 4k after that

 

Did you use ultra grey silicone? I had some of that in my oil after break in, and it's grey... Could be part of what you're seeing. I didn't have any metal in mine at all
