I like the fact I can stash this away when not using it. Which is 99.83% of the time I'm driving.

Yea but..you'd never see the 520 in your way anyways..not like you use the ash tray anyways.

It's not super thorough but better than nothing. Much better than me doing it manually (or not at all like usual). Usually leave it for 20 mins and move it like 4 times.

But a trusted source told me he had awful luck with the 520.

If the Cobra 75 annoys me, maybe the 520 will be in the future cards.

was it jon? Cause his was a 510..not a 520.

I can give you about 10 members that love the 520. Myself included. Best lil CB you can buy.

Wasn't Jon. But you know me, I don't like the "clutter" in the cab. Even though the 520 tucks in nicely it's still too much for me. Again, everyone I run trails with now have two-ways and no CBs.

I wish. But we're actually doing a week long camping trip that ends at our friends' wedding.

    Sun - Tues, backpacking.
Weds-Fri camping at the sand dunes.

First time out this year. My GF has never camped before, so she has some trepidations.

Need to make the pressurized sceptor water can shower, asap. :)

It's all about the antenna IMO.

I had a firestick mounted on my back bumper. Didn't have a ground plane so the reception sucked. Put a wilson 1000 up top and I could hear for 10 miles on the interstate. Both antennas were connected to a Pro520XL.

If I were to get another CB for my truck, it'd either be a Uniden 505 or 520.

I like my 75WXST the handset is a bit bulky but the whole thing can disappear when I want it out of my way. Plus I already use my ashtray for switches. I also believe it is all in the antenna.

Installed my 5100's on the front and ran out of time to do the back. How's the ride on a regular cab?
