    Maybe your getting too much oil put through the intake to get re burned and the air isn't able to suck it all in the engine so its running down and collecting in there. :notsure:

    Excessive blow by maybe? I'd check the pcv first. It's super easy on the 2.7. You can easily check to see if they work by shaking them back and forth. If they make noise they're generally okay. here's a vid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayghxiu4KmA And also when was the last time you changed your plugs? My turbo volvo runs like turd if the gap is even a little off. Tacoma is a lot less fussy but could be an issue. And don't take the grommet out to check it, just take the PCV valve itself. Half the time the grommet turns to dust like in the vid.

    Great video.. I'm gonna check the valve I bet it's fkd. Spark plugs are pretty new I'd say less than 10k

    If your getting that much oil in your intake make sure your not getting to much oil in the exhaust. You don't want to plug a cat.

    I think it is called a resonator and is supposed to generate a negative pressure in order to draw fumes from the crankcase or someplace and feed it back into the intake. It is part of the pollution control system. When I got my truck the tube going in had been blocked off so I don't know where it came from for sure.

    ^+1000. Seriously. I had an 89 crown vic that I dumped 800 bucks in parts into because it had a terrible misfire, I replaced every sensor and ignition related thing on it just to find out the passenger cats were so clogged it was only blowing exhaust out of the tiny hole in the manifold. All that time and money just because of a clogged cat.

    You guys!.. I've been saying my cat is clogged for the longest time to my friends because that thing is old and rusty and corroded and smells like shit..haha my friend just gave me a cherry bomb muffler to put in its place :devil: that coupled with the o2 simulator from URD I should be good to go.

    If you live in a state where you can go without cats go for it. I can't sadly. My whole exhaust system is rusted beyond hope but I'm determined to get it through another winter before buying a stainless.

    It also looks like LCE long tube headers in the pic. So if your cat was plugged you could of lost some rings and now blowing oil. Eventually misfiring and loosing your motor. It's what happened to me. You really need to find out where all that oil is coming from and where is it going. Do you check your oil often and see if your loosing quite a bit?

    This is worse case scenario.

    He's 100% right. Misfiring toasts engines. That crown vic of mine had about 90-110 psi on the right side bank cylinders after the 3k miles of heavy misfiring. But granted the one day I had the thing on the wood as fast as it could go bouncing off the rev limiter while misfiring probably did most of the damage. I was honest to god hoping that thing would blow up so I could just throw another 302 in it, just kept chugging along though. Traded the pos for my volvo. :anonymous:

    Yes you are correct. LCE headers. That's pretty scary to think about man. I don't check it often but when I do its always at its mark.

    Do a quick compression test if you're worried. I think you're probably fine though.

    Really sounds like pcv to me personally. Does it run decent after it smooths out?
