Won't narrowing the frame to fit under the Tacoma body completely cluster-fuck all of the engine, tranny, and t-case mounts? Meaning you'll have to make all new ones anyways haha

I'm still going through it, but the guy who traded it in replaced a whole bunch of parts and added a remote start. Frame was replaced just over a year ago. New exhaust/cats were put in by dealer when I bought it. I can't find anything wrong with it minus some low tire pressure on the front left.

I'm planning on getting a oil undercoat done before November. Any advice on some things to look out for on a new-to-me taco?

Which is why he should just leave it be and ziptie everything onto the dodge frame. Any gaps just fill it in with sheetmetal.

Check the lower ball joints and the four bolts holding them on. If the PO replaced them I would check to make sure they're OEM ones and not aftermarket. LBJ failure is not something you want to have happen while cruising down the highway.

Will a visual inspection give it away or is there a way to test?

Who gives a shit. I just want photos. He may be the next Nicola Tesla. Come up with some brilliant way to make it work and the next think you know, the hottest mod is the dodge frame/powertrain/transmission mod.

    So anywho...

    :drunk:

Can you run without ANY belts at all? Like say you have a strong battery and you lose your A/C, P/S, and Alternator belt how long could you run? I guess loss of a supercharger belt would be automatic fail.

Let me phrase the question like this.

Say you are challenged to a 1/4 mile race like in American Graffiti and you have like 15 minutes to mod/adjust your rig and show up at the starting line...what would you do to get every last bit of power and weight reduction out of your tacoma? I am thinking of a few things but I want to see what you guys think.

You know what's interesting. The dodge frame is NARROWER than the Tacoma frame. That's right. Narrower.

You'd lose PS and you'd be running solely off the battery and no AC.

So in theory..yes. But only until the battery died..so idk how long

If you start it without it. Probably not super long.

It takes about 10-15 min to kill a battery.

Not that my alternator ever died on me in the middle of the woods or anything...
