Lost my AC compressor belt today.

Is there any ill effects of running a 3.4 without the AC compressor belt?

It drove fine today. Just wasn't sure of any long term effects. Won't really need the AC for another 6-7 months.

You just wont have AC. It helps the defoster a little bit, but I took my belt off a few years ago and the difference is negligible. After all, pretty sure before cars had AC they were able to defrost a windshield.

Oh, and without your engine being connected to the AC, you'll have moar powaahhhhhhh

Your AC won't work. The defrost may not work as expected. That's about it...

Sure, don't hit anything and you won't need the airbags! ;)

There is a connector under driver seat just for that light. Make sure its plugged in goes from under the floor liner and into the driver seat!

If you have checked the simple things like the connection under the seat, maybe a continuity test, I would have a dealer or other trusted shop check the system.

Nothing bad engine related, but it's a good idea to turn your AC on every once in a while to cycle the refrigerant and oil through the compressor. You'd probably be fine if you leave it for 6 months. Or $25.00 for the belt and an hour of your time and the AC works again.
