Broke 2 sockets on this damn bolt, gonna replace them and maybe get a thicker walled socket or get more leverage tomorrow!

And anybody know how these come out? I unscrewed it for a good 2 minutes and it didn't move

Try using air tool for the toe hook. Not sure what the other one is. Is it a plastic clip?

    Welcome!
Put a tiny pin hole in the bubbles and they will disappear. I like that decal.

Today I passed state inspection , did some paint touch ups w/ a 3L5 paint pen, and degreased the engine bay/ underside trying to track down an oil leak. Where can I get the dye that you put in the oil to help find leaks?

Those bolts are Fn on there!!! Took a lot of leverage and some heat to get mine off!

Living in an apartment makes it hard to get air tools haha, but I'll go to my friends shop if it comes to that. May just break it since I don't need them anymore

Yeah huge PITA, I think I have a lead pipe some where in storage that I use to gain more leverage I'll have to check it out. No access to heat being in an apartment.

Next year I'll be renting a house so more space for truck mods! :woot:

I got lucky with mine. It came off easy. Used 1/2 drive and the pipe from my jack as a breaker bar.

But I also have a battery operated impact fun from craftsman that is awesome. Removes axle nuts with ease. Great investment.

Got it oil + wax undercoated and did poly steering rack bushings. My god the bushings were hell to install. Mainly because I'm a dumbass and tried for over 2 hours to put the U clamp on upside down. :facepalm:And just need info on this, my truck has always pulled to the left, but with the new bushings it's a lot more obvious now. Anyone ever had this issue? My alignment is fucked so that probly has something to do with it. But when I had the rack off I moved the wheels around by accident a bunch of times. Could that have caused something to be off, or would getting the rack back on sort that out? Thanks guys. First time ever doing anything steering related unless suspension counts, so I'm a total newb at it.

Sorry, I don't have pix but each hinge has two outer and one inner plate. The outer plates are riveted together with 3? rivets. The middle rivet slides in a slot in the middle plate and stops the hinge when it reaches the end of the slot. I just drilled out the middle rivet. Take the plastic covers off and get in there and look with a light, it's kinda hard to see. It only took 4 drill bits. :notsure:
