I'd be worried about a rock kicking up and busting the lense... Maybe make a plexiglass protective cover for it?

 

Pretty sure the lense is already some type of plastic

 

Yeah but on the freeway I'd rather see some cheap plexiglass take a hit than the dually itself. I don't know just throwin it out there

They don't look like real duallys. It's pretty easy to put new plexi in them if need be just gotta make sure they are dry and your RTV bead is good.

While I'm sure some guys will scold against this, I bought mine knowing it was never inspected by Toyota during the frame campaign. But the previous owner would scrape off old undercoating and reapply each year before Winter. In my testing, I found no reason to doubt the frame (well other than the normal doubt you have with a Taco frame...) and I plan on following his footsteps to keep it strong.

If your frame is good, 260K shouldn't be an issue as long as it's been taken care of. As you may have seen, these trucks can go way more than that.

I do like the silver, but I think I'd rather have green like yours. But I'd love it either way.

Soon to be released applications will include the Toyota Tacoma, Toyota 4Runner (2010+), and Toyota FJ Cruiser (2007-2009)."

 

Since I'm unfamiliar with these parts. Is this a good kit to get? Or is there something I should stay away from?

 

I ordered one with all Toyota oem parts, can't remember the guys screen name but it's legit and way cheaper. Just make sure to get the all Toyota parts one

Ok thanks I'll defiantly go this route.

 

So I changed the rack and ps pump on my truck since they were both out. Now I have a slight whinning noise when I rev the engine (not at idle) and when turning the wheel in either direction. Again, it's a slight whine. I cleaned the reservoir nefore installing. What could it be?

 

Lemme know what you find on that leak. Mysterious puddles have been appearing on my passenger floor mats too when it rains or I wash it.
