Big difference between posting what you've done and telling others what they should do.

BRO BRO I just put a cai in my car and it gained AT LEAST 30 hp. And with these lowering springs, my shit sits sooo sick now. They are the best mods I've done and you should do them too. Fuck those overpriced mods all the "veterans" tell you to do. lmfao they spend so much money for nothing.

For simplicities sake, parallel is usually going to be better. /\ does not mean more flex just because shocks are mounted that way. It's about the shocks being mounted so that they don't bottom out or limit travel when extended, and maximizing dampening.

For comparison, here's a shot of one of LowRange's Tacomas at Rock Therapy a few years back. Rear shocks in stock location. IIRC they were running Bilsteins, I could be wrong. These shocks were slightly longer than the OME shocks I had but because of the mounting location you can see they were limiting travel. That, combined with a front suspension that wasn't working all that well, makes for lots of wheel lift.
    _MG_0894_zps69b99a0a_0e80c43a4c0dc82aae39f150ef2407bf73bfda1c.jpg

Same obstacle, same day. This is after relocating my OME shocks. Even though the shocks were shorter, they were mounted in a way to allow full motion from the springs without bottoming out or limiting droop and still kept parallel (and as close to vertical as I could get them) for more controlled dampening and lateral stability. So, better travel in the rear, combined with a front suspension that was "acceptable" for still using stock control arms kept tires on the ground better.
    _MG_0881_zpsa662a0f4_c735046fb7f6bad924631019783dc8ad5958cae1.jpg
My setup still wasn't ideal since the shocks were angled to the back some and lost some dampening as a result, but was a decent compromise for a "bolt on" setup. Having the shocks as close to being in line with the motion of compression lets the shocks maximize dampening and can help control body roll. That doesn't always mean exactly parallel, or vertical. The further outboard the shocks are mounted the more they will help with lateral stability and body roll. Having a super flexy rear suspension without having a front suspension that can keep up is still going to be limited. Keep the front and rear as balanced as possible is a good target.

This setup is actually about as good as can be achieved without more drastic mods like shocks through the bed etc. It's well done.

Haha, well then here's another example. Worked well with a few compromises. A more outboard mounting would have better stability but I never felt 'unstable' or that there was excessive body roll with this setup. This allowed full range of motion with the springs, but since I didn't go through the bed, the shocks needed to be angled to the rear some, decreasing dampening a little.

I really wish you'd spend more time in here disproving bad information.

But what about vertical travel? Are you saying your springs don't have more than 8" of vertical travel, or whatever the nitrochargers had. 8.5" maybe.

Yeah hard to put exactly what I'm thinking into words. I don't have the knowledge to speak technically with something like this.

Nope. If my shocks where mounted vertically, then yes they would have limited the springs to travel to ~8". But that's not what I did.

I can post pictures of my truck flexing too:

Still doesn't mean anything in relationship to vertical travel of the entire axle moving up and down at once. Shocks were for sure the limiting factor in your setup.
