Since you are pulling the radiator an impact makes quick work of getting that nut loose. Since I'm a manual I was able to use the truck in 5th gear to tighten the nut to torque spec.

    What chain?

    Is this a 4 cylinder?

    No chain on a V-6.

Picked up a nearly brand new UWS box for $200 off CL.
Original owner had it on a '16 short bed taco and said it left him with no bed space at all.

Also got LED front turn signals on and had my wife install the new flasher because my meathooks could not fit behind the fuse panel. She doesn't even change her own wiper blades so I was very impressed and happy I didn't need to remove more of my dash to get my hands in there.

I only removed the battery for better access to the collision sensor bolts. The collision sensor is in the way of the long bolt that passes through both end of the UCA. The bolt only slides out a couple of inches before hitting the sensor.

    Thanks, I dig them too.

Nice, I had to really work hard to get in there to change mine. Iirc I may have removed the fuse panel after getting frustrated.

    Quick question...

Should I get 265s or 285s once I lift it with the 5100s?

I feel like the 265s might look too small. I'm on 275/70s now without a lift .

Why would you lift and put smaller tires on?

I need new tires, the 275/70s are pretty worn and need to be balanced...

285/75 or 265/75 are my current options , I figured I'd get new tires, since I have to get an alignment anyways

o_O Holy crap. Why would put those rear shocks on with stock leafs? Even with aftermarket leafs you won't even be close to pushing them. Why not just go cheaper and go with 2.0 smooth bodies????

Ah yea makes sense I was just feeling around for that thing haha
I'm on 265s right now but I plan on getting 285s in a couple months here's what 265/70s with an OME lift looks like:
    image.jpg
They aren't as small and weird looking as I was expecting them to be but if I was getting new tires id go with 285s

285s you'll regret it. I got 265s right now on that setup and regret not getting 285s

What coil springs are you running up front with your 5100's? And what are you running for lift in the rear?

Small amount of rubbing on the plastic fender stuff but with a dremel I cut most of it out an doesn't rub now.

Wheel does rub a tiny bit on the frame when fully turned but that's because wheel offset/backspacing I believe

    Stock coils in front:facepalm:

    Also stock in the back:laughing:

Just got the 5100s to lift the front a bit so I wouldn't rub terribly. Coilovers soon!:D

Sounds good, I guess 285s it'll be ... Hopefully I can find some decently priced tires around me.

This simple $300 shock upgrade is turning into a $1500 set up .... Lol crap
