does anyone have any idea what the gas door screw/bolt size is? Half the screws broke off in my old bed and i can't find the few that i actually took off a month ago lol

No. But Id take his for my double cab.

 

Went through the front brakes today looking for a reason the brake warning light comes on during hard braking... found nothing. On to the rears next. Is there a wear monitor on one of the drums that'd trigger that light?

 

And daily drive your chevrolegs? Ive been considering selling mine for a doublecab.. dunno if its worth the effort though

 

Youre most likely just low on brake fluid. As you brake hard the fluid in the res shifts forward and triggers the sensor

 

This is true. The level sensor is very touchy.

When ever I bleed my brakes, I have to fill it past the full mark for that light to go out.

If not that, you need to bleed the back brakes first. Normal is to start at rear, farthest from master cylinder.

Looks awesome. Great use of playing cards, too! That goes in my file of tips and tricks.

 

I usually use the file folders and cut them into strips and roll the rest over the sidewall of the tire.

 

It's rust prevention, general maint day because winter is coming

Waxoyl hardwax for the underside of the cab (Rover North)

Eastwood Heavy Duty Anti Rust for the internal parts of the frame (The extension wands have to be bought seperate)

Fluid film for the outside of the frame, skid plates (not pictured) Should I sell, I want to leave no doubt that the frame that was replaced last summer has zero rust.

Replace fuel filter and, coolant, change oil. A jug of Toyota coolant not shown

 

Started the process of a new bedliner. Removed the old drop in liner and was shocked at all the junk underneath it. Very glad to find no rust or major problems specially with all the junk under there.

Then washed it, clay barred it, and then sealed with a new paint sealant I got from the detailing thread to review. Got dark before I could get any pics of it finally clean

 

Wow, that's much more clever than what I did to paint my wheels....spent forever using painter's tape and newspaper to mask around the wheel, lol. I'll have to keep this in mind.

 

I bought a drop-in bedliner for cheap off someone local for my '04 earlier this year, my truck's bed was pristine (only 25k miles on it) and I wanted to preserve it. Big mistake. Had it on there for about a month, when I took it off to do some cleaning I discovered that it had made all kinds of abrasive marks on the paint, both in the bed and on the bed sides where it wraps over the bed rail a bit. Scratches all over the place, too. I was pissed...so I got rid of it and Herculined the entire bed with a permanent liner instead

 

did mine a few weekends ago. had the same thing with my drop in, was caked with crap everywhere when I took it out. Purchased the Raptor lining of Amazon and it worked great. Looks just like a professional job.

 

Jumped and paid for Line-X and had the Lifetime UV coating on top. If it ever fades, re-spray for free. I had the plastic drop-in. Had to go.
