I've done a mod or two
Yeah I went with 16" cause tire availability is decent at almost all tire shops. They were cheaper when I bought them I think :notsure:

I know the 16's are cheaper but I'm hoping I get some that are "blems" haha

When it rains it pours...usually if you floor the throttle it will start, probably a vacuum leak from the valve cover.

Fired it up with speed freek's advice, and managed to drive it to the dealership.. haven't picked it up yet... the guy I left it with was super nice and said he'd try to help me out a bit with the $$cost$$. I am already relieved, and that might be worth the extra cost of just having it done and not waiting. I wouldn't have been able to go down and see Jason until the 30th, and I probably would have been worried about my truck the whole time.

I'm glad you took some action, I always feel better just getting it done instead of waiting. That said, I need valve cover gaskets, they've been leaking for a while..:anonymous:

No, if you plan on wheeling, extra ground clearance will help

I think I've made my point in this thread ranting about 5100s, therefore, my time will be much better served ranting about how lift height doesn't affect tire clearance.

That being said, if you combine the glorious 5100s with the ever-delightful 620lb Eibach coils, you'll surely be able to clear even the biggest of 33" tires as you tackle only the roughest of terrain.

My 32-11.5s rub fucking everything in sight on 4.5" bs. front and back of frame, sway bar, uca, bumper, pinch weld (before the BFH treatment)

Less bs fixes most of that but more pinch weld massaging would be needed.
