Well I just did a gauge swap. The cluster I put in had 10k miles on it before I swapped the odometer units, so I am being very gentle with it.

I've heard that too, but not too much to worry about with the strainer sock and fuel filter being present. FWIW I fill up at Costco a lot and the Kenan truck is always there refilling (cause Costco gas is the shit... price wise) haven't had any issues with it.

Don't need a CEL to diagnose, you're already better than the CEL by noticing something is wrong.

Assuming a station is following the law, there is no bad gas. All gas has to follow the same federal regulations. This goes for one-off stations or Top Tier ones. The difference between Top Tier and standard stations is that Top Tiers will put varying degrees of various cleaners and such that are supposed to help care for the engine in the long term.

The only time you're really going to see actually bad gas is if a station is doing shit they're not supposed to be doing. For example, a station a town over from me got popped for literally watering down their gas. I'm sure it wasn't substantial, or the results would be too obvious, but apparently someone noticed and the station was investigated and shut down.

Yea I notice every little thing and try to address it.

My possible thoughts as to why it's running like crap:
    -plugs/wires (changed today)
    -fuel filter
    -fuel pump
    -water in tank
    -crappy gas
    -clogged injectors?
    -dirt/debris in gas
    -bad coil pack

I've always thought the same thing.

Until I filled up at this station in Nevada...

Just make sure you test those suggestions for possible issues, you can look up various ways to test those without parts swapping. Also, Nevada.... there's your problem lady!

Possible they are messing with their gas or something is wrong with the equipment, be it above ground or otherwise.

Or it could be a coincidence, and whatever the issue was happened to manifest itself at that time.

Yea I had to fill there :annoyed:

Possibly, hopefully the problem dismisses itself after the tank is gone through

I usually give non-critical issues a chance to correct themselves. And often enough, they do.

Even if it did. There are filters on the hoses. And your own filters. Shouldn't matter

I agree, which leads me to think of the possibility of water getting into the tank or the gas before fill up

I was mostly joking. I originally ordered 265s, but my friends convinced me to move up to 285s. I felt a slight power loss right away. But they do look damn sexy....

@snowboard704 - Thanks man! It looks a lot more aggressive, exactly what I was going for.
