Today I replaced all three belts in the front of my 2.7 today in an attempt to stop a squeak.

At the parts store the idiots brought me the wrong belt, didnt have the other two, and tried to tell me "all of these are listed as the same belt" when by just glancing I could tell at the very least they were different widths. Idiots.

    So far so good.

does he have a build thread?
well later down the road i plan on getting a tube bumper like the trailgear one.
I've heard that the SAW coils tend to sag over time and you have to crank the adjuster down more. is this true?
yeah im that guy. what was wrong with the springs?
yeah i heard they are stiff whiles driving on the road, i don't plan on going fast often only when i go to the beach. most offroading will be done on trails and what not.

The coil sag issue was on the 1st generation of SAWs. At least that is what I've been told. They can be easily identified by their red colored coils. The adjusters are also on the botton instead of the top as mine are.

I got my 2.0 SAWs 2 years ago. They have the 650 lb, clear powdercoat Eibach coils. I am running an elite bumper with a winch, full budbuilt skids as well as sliders. I estimate about 300 lbs over stock. They have almost 30K on them now.

The ride is no longer stiff as the additional weight has been added on. No complaints about the ride. And no sag at all...so far.

Well I got em off El Rojo and he used em for 3 years so my guess the spring got a little soft. When i put them on my truck i cranked them up a lot and barely got any lift. I'll let you know what they are like with the new spring but even having them cranked up 25 threads, they still aren't horribly stiff on the road. Stiff for sure though but I'm fine with that.

Advance Auto. Some people are idiots. My dad said that there is a reason they are not rocket scientists.

I politely walked out, and went to another store. It was worth the 15 minute drive as I was in and out with the correct three belts in under five minutes.

Same thing happened to me when I made a trip to advance auto to buy some new belts. Woman ended up giving me three of the wrong size belt, gave me a dumb look when I compared my old belts to the new ones and told her the sizes were not labeled correctly. She refused to go back and check to see if the right ones were in stock.

Long story short I only go to advanceauto anymore for generic parts.

Gotta love Florida winters - 80s during the day, 60s at night. Spent the day on the water fishing, kayaking and boating.

I like roll bars (it shows my age  - some consider them a thing of the past, a.k.a. 80's style). I would like to get one.
I have not been able to find one for my truck. Rhino makes them for the regular and extended cabs, but not the double cabs.
