    The 3rz is really good on torque so slow speed off-road I never had any problems but on the highway it needed more power. Going up hills or having a strong headwind always slowed me down.

    Count me among the jealous, I'd love one of those for my four banger. Did it perk up nicely afterward? Did you swap to pink injectors?

    It did for sure, Iv only got about 20 miles on it so far so the ecu is still "figuring it out" but it has perked up nicely. Stock injectors, are the pink ones larger/flow better?

    They are higher flow, came stock in 01-04 3RZ engines and are good for a few extra HP provided by the blower whereas the browns that our engines came with are pretty close to their limit. I have a set of pinks for when I can afford the supercharger.

    @Speedytech7 @Lux

    So I looked at our non ABS tundra and confirmed it has a regular straight axle without any block off plates or neck down.

    image.jpg

    I need to reconfirm on a tundra one with ABS but I'm pretty sure it's necked down kind of like these on my Tacomas. Both have ABS axles but no ABS itself. You can see the block off plate too here. Sorry for the shadow.

    Just figured I'd share lol

    I appreciate it, I don't think mine is necked. Mine is before ABS was so common that they only produced one type of axle.

    I didn't even know mine was until recently. I went to order a new upgraded axle seal from LR and it said in there it wouldn't work on trucks with ABS. I figured I was good since I don't have ABS. Got it and it wouldn't fit, then figured it out after lots of wtf moments. It has the ring gear on the axle, just no motors lol. Like this:

    #2 solution, always insist on parking forward, pull through so you dont have to back out. It simple enough, and less hassles trying to look both directions for people, cars in busy lots while trying to back up/out.

    It's interesting that you got parasitic draw from cutting the wire. Did you also cut the wire that goes to the switch or relay? Maybe that could have been the issue.

    I have ABS so no block off plates but my ABS is disabled. Plan on ripping that shit out eventually so next time I have the rear wheel bearing go out on me I plan on just installing the two retainers and no tone ring since the tone ring doesn't necessarily even show proper fitment anyway. Really wish I had a non ABS rear. When I go tundy, I will look for a non ABS rear.

    are the rear axle seals the same parts between abs and non-abs rear ends? a buddy made a axle seal install tool for abs rear end and wondering if it would also work for a non-abs axle
