No test drive tonight  Ultraguage already proved it's worth. showered and ready for a movie. Thanks to all for the suggestions and help. Hope you enjoyed the follow along. May have to do a proper write up when I swap the injectors so others can learn from my mistakes.. err... oversights :D As always, a big thank you to TW for the help and previous threads that loosely guided me :amen:

You all are reminding me I need to sell the aluminum one that came with my taco. I can't afford the space loss for dump runs or brew days.

That looks sweet, was it hard to get them to fit or did you just cut to fit.

Well, between yesterday and today I've attempted to order part # PTR10-89990-18 five different times only to get an email saying it's been discontinued and no longer available.

This was a corrected y-pipe for the 01-04 Tacoma for the TRD Headers to properly fit.

Trying to decide if I want to take what I got to an exhaust shop and let them booger them up or just sell the headers.

    the crossover pipe?

If you have an exhaust guy you trust i don't see the problem. But if you are just gonna go to a random shop..idk about that.

I know i have an exhaust guy id trust to do that easy.

So what, you have headers for the trucks with 1 Cat basically?

Exactly right. 2 cat truck with a crossover pipe for a 1 cat system. The exhaust shop would have to delete one of the catalytic converters, right?

I've never had exhaust work done so unfortunately I dont have an exhaust guy I trust.

    well you have 2 options.

Delete a the upstream cat and deal with some engine codes. Or modify the TRD crossover pipe.

I'd probably do do the crossover pipe. It probably needs shortened and a different flange? Should be do able at a good exhaust place. Probably won't be super cheap but. If it's worth it to you go for it.

Or if you feel bad about desecrating ( )one of the last sets of TRD headers then sell them

Yeah it'd need to be shortened and a new flange. You got a point, I hate the idea of mucking up a discontinued part. Guess if I ever remove them an 01-04 Tacoma could still use them. Maybe I'll go to the local page on TW and see if there's an exhaust shop out there that other Tacoma owners trust.
