Thanks again. Yeah I'll be keeping the motor n/a but I talked with LCE and was recommended to upgrade the valvetrain. Their kit is $800+ so I was thinking I might find the same valves and such from a parts supplier like summit for less if I know what to look for - their Tundra brake kit is good of course, but it's a premium over other kits I've seen - that's kind of the basis for my inquiry.

Keeping the fuel delivery stock sounds like a good idea.

Update, great news these rotors are the right size they just were delivered. Now I have to wait for my inner tie rods to be delivered plus I'm going to paint my TRD rims so I'm going to do it all the same time. I'm so excited and stoked to get these on20170707_120837.jpg

2nd attempt at getting a matching Toyota 4Runner locking glove box, second color match fail. This time it's sort of blue-grey. Original latch on far right.

    IMG_4015.jpg

Fuck it, I'm going with the bluish gray. Gotta keep these spare Burger King napkins secure somehow.

Posting the tan locking mechanism in the Buy, Sell, Trade thread sometime today if anyone is interested. Gonna ask for $7.00 to cover shipping and fuel to the post office, which is less than I paid someone on eBay for it.

This thread ("what have you done ...") is really not intended for asking technical questions. Your one posting gets quickly lost among all the 'look what I've done' postings. The best way to ask for technical help for what you 'are going to do' is to start your own thread, 1st gen forum. You'll get much quicker responses from the more tech-savvy guys that may not monitor the BS threads.

    Just my 2-cents worth.

That's the correct blue-gray color for the '95-'00 trucks. Toyota changed the gray to a lot lighter color in the 2001 redesign.

If it really bothers you, check out this site. https://www.colorbondpaint.com/pages/paint-selector
Bit of trial an error on color, but painted to match an 01-04 OEM shift console color that was a blue-gray from an '00.

Can it be keyed to the truck key or does it have a separate key? Didn't see a post for sale yet, I'm certainly interested in it as I would love love love for my glove box to lock

Amen to that, and the title should be relevant to facilitate other folks searches. That includes things like the yet unmentioned differences in the 5vz through the years.
    My 1.5-cents.

It didn't come with a key but the guy who did a write up on TTORA that convinced me to go looking for one had his rekeyed by a locksmith to his ignition key. PM sent.

Here's my two cents, under what have you done 1st Gen. Everybody knows their first gens on this thread like the back of there hand they know their trucks as the majority of the people on this thread do their own mods and their own maintenance on your trucks so this is the perfect thread to get answers to as 90% of the people on this thread on first gens and work on their own trucks . That's just my two cents. If you have a toothache you don't go to a foot doctor.

Fine, being a free country and all.

When I have a toothache I look for help from folks with a title like "Tooth Fixing, Guaranteed Painless".

Wired to my turn signal. Was surprisingly difficult to find the size I wanted and the way I wanted to mount it.

Anyone here had to get a new lock assembly/core from the dealer before? Not sure if they can just use my key to make a new one or if I'll have to tear out the one from the passenger side for them to match it. Some tweakers tried to break into my truck and completely fubar'd the whole door handle and lock itself
