I've never used one of those... may be worth looking into myself.

But, in lieu of that, I was gonna say to try adding heat. Get it nice and hot, then smack it again. Or you could say 'you know what, it's never a bad idea to replace the LBJ' and take the tie rod end and the LBJ out as one piece.

Pittman Puller is what I've used and it's fantastic. Used it on tie rods multiple times, LBJs and a few other things but can't remember. Good tool to invest in

Another +1 for the Pittman puller. When I replaced my LBJs it pulled everything right apart, no need to whack anything.

Any rubbing with those wheels? Do you have lift, spacers? Tire size??

    Thank you

The inspection came up as just needing pads

In addition to the hardware are you recommending changing the drum as well ?

Witnessed what I think to be a snake laying on my fan belt and shot a huge rat that was hiding in the crack of my pass door! Lol, He ran up in the fender well or somewhere so now I'm just screwed I guess :(

No rubbing at all! Rims are 16" off of a new 2017 tacoma! I don't have the size with me but the total diameter is 31" (compared to the 29" I had before) I haven't had em offroad yet but no rubbing on sharp turns on pavement! I've been told that 31s are as big as you can run without rubbing without a lift! My truck is factory height except the back has an AAL.

31.5" is the stock tire size (at least on a 2000 4WD) so you shouldn't get any rubbing. Looks great.

Your truck looks so much whiter than mine. Maybe it's the white mirrors/bumper, or maybe it's that mine doesn't get washed. Either way, looking good.

    3 inch lift.
Replaced front rotors and pads today. Went with some high carbon simi metallic pads. I don't care about the dust I just want long lasting and great stopping

I think its the bumper and mirror being white, that it gives it that illusion.

That said, I am happy with my poverty spec mixed race truck that is not charlotsville white :D

My understanding is that the wheels from the newer trucks have different backspacing than the earlier (1st gen) wheels. I just acquired a similar set, and am wanting the maximum tire without rub, and hopefully no wheel spacers. I do have a leveling spacer in front, and AAL on the back, although my springs are pretty well sagged out now.
