I have a cheapo Lincoln Electric 120v welder from Home Depot with flux core wire, I don't think I can do that

We were using a 120v and it burned through the coating no problem. I was pretty impressed how well it did. Not sure on the wire though, I wasn't the one welding.

I'm sure I could do it if I had more shielding gas, but I haven't been able to get some more so I'm reduced to flux core wire.

yea...:fistbump: I had an exhaust bolt that never came out, turns out toyota made it out of stainless steel :annoyed:. The bolt is still right there...yours on the other hand will come out, there's some solid ideas posted. Good luck with it!

Here's one pic of the two nut stud removal...this works with the right weld

set the lincoln handy mig as hot as your flux core wire will handle...bump it up to 8, 9, or 10, then test weld on scrap. If the wire vaporizes, ease the setting down and test weld again. I think the max is 70-80amps for your welder, so you're gonna need to crank it up as much as possible to burn into a grade 8. :transformer:

    Whiteline LCA bushing?
I searched and only found PeeRunner and S-runner parts, no 4x4 parts.

Anyone got a line/link on aftermarket LCA bushing?

You need a set, I have that kit in my parts box. I'm coming up to WA tomorrow for Thanksgiving, I can bring em.

Also, thanks @gunny1005 for getting all those Land Cruiser brake parts for me! One hell of a dealership there, sales folks and customers alike gave my truck weird looks :D. Place is seriously massive though and very nice inside.

Yep... mine are coming from Amazon as well.

Did you install them with or without scoring the sleeves? They are smooth, where OEM has a texture to hold the sleeves from rotating.

No I didn't modify them at all. The torque on the alignment bolts should be enough to keep them from rotating. I'll keep an eye on it.

Gotcha... I'm thinking I might score a few lines with a hack saw or something.

The whiteline have washers to stop the sleeves from contacting the frame parts directly so I'm not sure that'll do you any good

Oh... well that adds a new wrinkle. I was assuming they were just like Moog or OEM, other than being smooth.

Then I'll probably just install, torque, and monitor them as well.

FWIW, I've had whitelines for the last 30k miles, a lot of which is hard wheeling, and haven't had any issue with holding my alignments.

Definitely the way to go for LCA bushings.

Tires are starting to wear so I will most likely be needing new tires within the year. My bday comes next month so may just purchase early as a bday gift to myself. I'm pretty sure what tire I want already. only question is what size. currently have method double standards 16x8 4.5 backspacing. Debating between 285/75R16 or 305/70R16 Falk WildPeak AT3. (will this size fit with current wheels?). Was going to ask in the wheels and tires forum, but I figured this might be better since its first gen specific. Light Racing UCAs. 5100/eibach. I know ill have to hammer pinch welds for sure with either tires. Currently 265/75R16.

I found these lca bushings on Amazon, they appear to be identical to the whitelines. Can't seem to find any other info on them though. If anyone wants to test them out I imagine there will be a warehouse/open box deal on them soon considering I sent mine back and went with a new oem lca instead.
