What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Not all that bad. If I had it to do over, I would not follow their style of stitching, but rather do "baseball" style. It would mean working with two needles and threads, and is basically like lacing your shoes. But they give you two threads and needles in the kit. I would also add a bit of padding to make sure that it snugged up better on the wheel, something like a very, very thin foam rubber, glued to the inside of the leather. When you tighten it up as is, it creates bumps so it either needs to be a bit narrower leather, or the wheel just a touch bigger.

 

I don't think Denso even sources from 3rd parties, everything should be stateside or Japan.

 

Put it on har smooth plastic like a coffee can lid or cut a tide bottle side out. Put hardener on filler, and stir it up Should be a light pink color. Mix up about 3/4 cup at a time, cause you can mix more later.

The more humid, colder temps you have the darker red it should be. If it gets sticky or clumpy it is drying out and garbage.

Do thin 1/16th layers at a time. That and a clean acetone whiped down surface will allow it to bond. After you have built it up and feathered the edges in block sand it down. Dont let mosture get to it either. Put a good primer down first to create a rust barrier. Bondo is a sponge.

I know the A/F sensor is down by the cat where is the O2 sensor located.

 

When I tried to replace mine the bolts we're rusted, I took it to the shop and they welded a new slot and cut the wires on the old one saved me a bunch of money till I get a new exhaust

Bought one 235/75/15 to test fitment and clearance for my 5 lug.
Thinking 3 inch spindle upfront with AAL and shackle out back.

 

Do you have two cats? On mine, the A/F sensor ((Bank 1 Sensor 1) is upstream of the first cat and the O2 sensor ((Bank 1 Sensor 2) is after the 2nd cat. YMMV
