Well that was a pain in the ass to get out of the clamshell. The things I do to have a true manual hub jackshaft...

For gods sake whoever coverts their PreRunner to a 4x4 next just use a damn hose clamp

ngk..each electrode is .35 it runs great. if it runs funky, I'll just pull and regap.but before i changed plugs it ran rough. think the winter blend gas might be the cause.besides it was my first time swapping plugs since i bought it. the old plugs were gapped at .22. and the #5 plug is a pita to get too

The way we do it at work is to loosen the bed and put some 2x4s under the bed and frame to get enough height to get those bolts out... still a pain in the ass though

I did mine boots down so dirt/mud that gets through is less likely to sit where the shaft/seal mate.

Run the shafts down on nitrogen charged shocks like the billies. This puts the shock body higher, up out of harms way too. Also, if you wheel your truck, don't use the boots. They will accumulate mud and crap that will shorten the life of the wiper seal on the shafts.

Write up on how you added the PRND21?
Does it light up each gear when selected?

How much grit was in the bearings?

Not much at all! I was surprised. The bearing actually sealed most of the sand out, I spun all the gears and the bearings and didn't hear anything. I inspected every mechanical component and everything seemed clean

I used my air compressor to blast 120 PSI air at each gear tooth and channel to make sure.

Finally got that stupid ADD gear stub out of the differential ring/pinion gears. What a stupid design. You basically have the remove the whole gear assembly to pop it out with a hammer and chisel.

    IMG_5856.jpg

Priming the Differential and letting it cure for a couple days until my POR15 comes in the mail.

    IMG_5859.jpgIMG_5868.jpg

Sanded the raised lettering on my powder coated manual hubs to make it stand out while I was waiting in between primer coats.

    IMG_5863.jpg

This is happening next weekend folks. Im parking this in the garage Friday night and it ain't coming out until it's 4WD. Six months of part collection is finally coming to an end.

Would anyone want me to set up a livestream? Lol!

Awesome rig man. Has a real Aussie Hilux feel to it.

So I noticed I was having a ridiculously high idle and had no idea why. (1500 RPMS stopped and close to 2500 RPMS wile moving) First thing I checked for was vacuum leaks and sure enough, found this on a vacuum tube going to the IAC (I think).

    IMG_8858.jpg
Replaced it and I'm idling around 900 RPM's again.
