    Wtf just happened?!
At a stop light then steam comes out from under the hood, limp to a safe spot.
Only this center piece looks busted.
I was afraid it was a headgasket

Bummer man, once it is safe to touch see if that hose has become super squishy, that's a high point in the system and tends to get to the point where the rubber turns to jelly

Heater core coolant valve, 4seasons makes a good replacement for it for less than OEM. The hose is just 5/8th heater hoses I think. I wouldn't drive it too far it is is overheating, don't wanna make anything worse if you ha e AAA use it

Just an FYI on gas caps. I chased a similar code on my daughters 2008 Honda. Went thru 4 different brand aftermarket caps and never had a good one. I went over that car with a magnifying glass every time the code came back. My diagnostic results always came back "replace gas cap" Dreading the price of an OEM gas cap :crapstorm:(don't start on the OEM vs aftermarket B.S. It's not a ball joint)
cost me 4 weekends of frustration. But that's not the worst part. The worst part is the dealer only wanted $10 more then the aftermarket ones. :frusty::frusty:

    Toyota OEM gas cap: $21.50

    AutoZone Duralast gas cap $10.69

Probably worth noting that the stock gas cap is made by Stant and you can get that same Stant part at NAPA in box from their Balkamp line for like $8.

I do like Toyota coolant for how it shows up when it leaks but maybe not part of the list...

I could see bearings being on the list.

Yeah as long as you aren't mixing multiple coolants together any of them should be fine really. Been running green for 6 years or so now.
