I just like that it looks like Kool-aid

Yea, I was running green-ish for the first year of owning it. The coolant flush was pretty satisfying.

Yeah, I'm currently running green since it was there when I flushed my system. Some people get their panties in a bunch about coolant even though the green is just fine as long as you aren't mixing any.

x2 on the spraying of WD-40. Sprayed mine a week prior to that snow storm and couldn't open my driver door, went to the passenger side and would've easily broken my handle if I didn't spray it a week earlier. Take the 2 hours max, drink a few beers and fix your door handles

Another good option is one of the graphite sprays like B'laster or Lock-Ease. They don't attract and hold dirt like WD40. Great to spray a bit into the lock mechanisms too.

Part replaced in under 10 minutes.
Didnt refill with antifreeze and almost paid for it. Temp needle shot up fast, had to pull over and walk two blocks to get some distilled water. Hopefully it will hold to make the trip home (35 miles) but that wont be until after my 10 hour shift at work today.
Will water be okay for a couple days???

I'm interested as well, wouldn't mind some reasonable power up in the mountains. I max out around 60 going up I70 from Denver now. The altitude kills the 2.7

I think it’s okay to limp home on but you’ll want to replace with 50/50 as soon as possible. Water isn’t good for engine components because it will corrode and rust them, it doesn’t have the freeze resistance of antifreeze (I doubt that matters much in Houston) and it has a lower boiling point.

Do you have to remove the actual door handle to effectively shellack it in lube?

Or can you just spray the hell out of it with the door panel removed?

Unfortunately I will have to contend with the sound deadening. Last time it peeled away easily (then reapplied easily) so I'm hoping for the same. Probably have to wait until it warms up a bit though.

    Just the panel removed.

I did the mechanism and basically the back of the mechanism where all the rods meet.

Any reason why you chose WD40 over a Tri-Flow Lubricant type?

    Just what was near. Haha

Anything will work really. Mainly just need something to clean the dust out. Doesn't usually get super dirty quickly.

Tri flow will work well or a graphite spray.

That's what I figured. Almost deleted my post but then figured I'd ask anyway :)
