Thanks, yeah I built it this past summer, not really any specific purpose I have in mind yet, other than hauling capabilities.

I didn't know any Tacomas came with column shifters.

Heh, just found your earlier 'thread' when you queried for pics of flatbeds. LOL, no wonder you don't post much!
You built a nice bed. Do you have removable sides like the one you referenced in your earlier thread?

Oh yeah you can actually see the column shifter in his picture. As far as I know only 5-lugs had them, I believe all 4x4's and PreRunners has the floor shift standard.

Did you know Tacomas also had sunroofs as an option?

I wish I had the sunroof. It’s a rare find to get one like that.

Ah hell, there it is. Neat looking! Column shifters look right in auto trucks.

Yeah, I've actually seen one once. Pretty damn cool to see. Even rarer than stepsides. Seen a small handful of those.

Saw a 5 lug with a sunroof at the junkyard not too long ago. I was tempted to cut the roof off and take it home.

That’s one project I’d rather not even attempt.

I didn't say I was going to put it on my truck! Thought I'd just mount it on my garage wall as a trophy :D

These are the only pics I have of them, unpainted. I don't put them on much cause I can get a little better gas mileage lol.

Oh, you did shorties. The original post had sidewalls taller than the cab IIRC.
I really like the look of your bed w/o the sides (fine w/ the sides but like it best w/o).
    nice job.

Thanks, yeah I like the look better without them too. I just went back to that thread about flatbed ideas, which ran into the ground quickly lol, and the pic I posted, was a bed with a "canopy", or basically a big camper that's removable. Maybe one day when the truck is a daily driver, I could do something like that.

It might be a Webasto aftermarket roof and worth a few bucks if you can remove it. The Webasto aftermarket roof was the next best option outside a factory roof because they make a lot of OEM roofs
