What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Yeah I know, I was getting the parts together when you posted that. So I can honestly say I did not steal the idea from you lol. How does that work out with your spare? Or do you just take the spare off when u are carrying bikes?

 

So about a month ago while driving on the freeway, the engine would lose power for a few seconds and then come back to normal. I cleaned the MAF sensor and it went away for a bit but today it started losing power while just driving at any speed and even idol. The check engine light comes on when it loses power and starts to shake because it almost shuts off. It also completely shut off while driving 25-30 mph on the street today so I need to get it fixed. Should I replace the MAF sensor? Any ideas?
I also just had the fuel filter and all the sensors replaced and new spark plugs.

 

what was the code #?

I have had 2 check engine light codes come on this last week,

First was p0120: bad Throttle position sensor. replaced $50.

Second was today p0440: Checked my gas cap and cleared it..

but I will go through the truck tomorrow and check for other signs of wear.

The code was for the MAF sensor when i had it checked about a month ago. The exact code is in my truck which im not with. I'll bring it to the shop tomorrow and hopefully I can get it fixed. It dying in the middle of driving was terrible haha

I think I might look into that! Does in accurately track your mph too? Mines off from the 33's i think.

i wish i had some happened a bit to fast. they did put a nice scratch on my trd sticker. blends in with all the trail scratches lucky for me

Just ordered some 17x9 Ultra Gauntlets, and 285/70/17 Hankook MT's.

 

Been building this for a while. Welds are half good half shit but it is strong enough for me. The bike mounts didn't like being welded on though..no idea why. The welds just look like straight poo and other ones I did before that looked great. Might be the metal or something I assumed they're steel and not some alloy or anything. Lights are going to e ordered for it soon and maybe a cb
