Years ago, I used WD40 rather than the windex, and it worked pretty well. As suggested above, Goof-Off would likely work very well, or even some acetone. Just be careful with the acetone around the plastic. It is hard on plastic!!!!

Anybody have any ideas on how to wire this led switch to only illuminate with the key on:
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078LWFTZZ/ref=twister_B078LS7FC9?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

The problem is it's only got 2 posts, one power one ground. I could put another switch inline so the led voltmeter function doesn't stay on all the time but that's annoying. Any ideas on how I can make this work or where I can find another one like it that has the ability to go off with the key

If you're worried about draining your battery I wouldn't be. I have the same one and have parked the truck for two weeks in very cold weather and it still started.

You should be able to tie into the radio power if you only want it on when the key is on.

True but the truck I’m putting it sits for weeks at a time sometimes. I just don’t like the idea of it. I thought about looping it in to a keyed power source like the radio but I worry that I’ll cause false voltage readings.

I think I’ll just install it with a another switch inline so I can turn it off for long periods of time if I need too. I am not having any like finding something similar that does what I want

It won't. Mine is tapped into the power source for the cig lighter wires and my voltage readings are spot on.

Picking up taller jackstands in preparation of the 3rd member swap to an e-locker one. Then swap over the rear brake parts that I had swapped out couple months ago.

Mine is tapped into the 12v outlets and my voltage does vary from the one the Obd port reads. It's usually about a volt less on the USB meter.

To be fair, I honestly never compared the reading via OBD vs the meter vs the batteries actual measurements. :anonymous: That sounds like work.

I have the volt meter on my tablet/obd already so it wasn't any extra work for me.

Suspension, 33s, some armor... Rust, Gray wire and 2Low, and more. T4r is stock.
So I drove it to work today and half way there "Misfire Cylinder 2 Detected" and it is running ruff as shit... Hopefully its just plugs and wires, I have a new set in my garage waiting to be installed.

3rd or full hub to hub axle? I think that's where his confusion is.

3rd, axles, diff w/ e-locker. The whole thing. I'm just swapping over the brake shoes, drums and cylinders because I had to replace them a while back.

Gotcha. Technically the 3rd member is just the center section that unbolts from the axle housing. If you've got the entire housing, you're good to go

So some early first gens had a J-Shift transfer case and ADD, but no Manual Hubs. I was looking at a 1995 on Copart with these options from the factory.

Does this mean a truck can have ADD and J-Shift? I was under the impression that you need the push button 4WD for ADD.
