COMPLETED the 4x4 swap. :yay: Just took the truck to a dirt lot to test everything out and success was met. I have never felt what it's like to drive in 4lo before!!! Can't imagine what it'd be like with a crawlbox!

Not yet... Was going to install the compressor tonight with greg's (pigger:D) help, but the rain put a damper on those plans... Hopefully soon though! If it comes down to it, I don't think I'd be a huge deal just to bring it up to Moab and install it there! haha Plenty of helping hands I bet!

    Hey guys,
New owner checking in. I recently acquired a 03 TRD double cab from my FIL. Today/yesterday was spent installing a new head unit with Bluetooth, new speakers are next.

Tightened up the alternator belt. Replaced it 3 weeks ago and it had loosened up a bit and was squeaking on a cold start.

Gave my tailgate latches a healthy dose of wd40. It still has not sunk in that I do not have to slam it shut now.

Removed the 4 rope hooks in the bed in preparation to either I paint over the rust black, or order 4 new ones. If they last me another 10 years I might as well just buy some new ones.

Has anyone added two of these oem rope hooks to the floor of the bed between the wheel well and the cab? I might do this to add two(or four) additional tie-down points.

Ive looked on rockauto, and several sites for the part of the windshield washer fluid sprayer that sits on top of the hood, as one of mine shoots only one stream with no luck. Does anyone know a part#/name that would help me order a pair of these windshield washer "nipples" (best way I can describe it)?

Cool cool. I would say you could always retro fit some. I never did this on my taco. But I did when I had a 240sx. I think I put Titan nozzles on.

Newb here. First post in this thread anyways. I finally sold the Nissan and got the Tacoma on the road. I drove it a couple hundred kilometers and was able to track down an excellent Toyota Mechanic. Guru if you may. I knew I needed a timing belt and figured why not do the water pump as well. He was in utter dismay about how clean the engine was once he had the valve covers off etc. For 385,000 kms there was zero build up at all. Nice and silver with no yellowing. The previous owner babied it and maintained it very well.

From timing belt and water pump, I agreed that the other things he pointed out and suggested could be changed while he was in there got done. This is what was changed.
    -Timing Belt
    -Water Pump
    -All Belts
    -Idler for AC Belt
    -Timing Belt Tensioner Pulley
-Valve Cover Gasket and all related Seals & Gaskets
-New Block Heater. (old one leaked)
    -Plugs
    -Coil Boots
    -Air Filter
    -Chassis Lube
    -Tranny Flush

Classy guy. He kept all the old parts to show me why they needed replacing. It's funny how much more excited I am about this Tacoma as opposed to the 09 Nissan Pro4x I was wasting money on. I have always wanted this truck.

Anyways, Today (just got the truck back mid week) I derped the front end and the rear bumper. I got too tied up in Vimming the white walls on my bike that I didn't wash the Taco. I will give it over night until I wash it with the derp on.

    Here are a few shots:
