Planning to run 285's on stock TRD sport 2nd gen 17's

Well, you need a minimum of 1.0" to make the 2nd gen wheels have the same backspacing as a 1st gen wheel. Then I'd imagine if you'd want at least another half inch or more to keep the tire off the UCA.

 

I'm gunna guess 2 inch

 

shouldn't ever need a 2''.

1.25 will be fine 1.5 be more aggressive.
