Today was not a good day, noticed there is diff fluid coming out of my front diff breather. like a lot. I couldn't get the drain plug off last weekend so took it to toyota to get them to get the plug off and drain and fill for me. I have regeared and have a locker in there. I also am using the same gear oil that east coast gear supply recommends for their gears 85w 140. I have been using that same viscosity for over a year, no problems. I found a thread that some guy had this happen and he extended his breather and it stopped.

My question is, could this be as a result of over filling? I was at toyota and they/we checked the front diff level and it was drooling out the fill plug. could it be over filled due to my diff drop changing the angle of the diff? Will this just stop spewing out the diff breather? Could the locker in the front mean I need less diff fluid. Help pleaseFDC087A0-3BAF-4D90-A618-67FEE31F88F3.jpg

There are frame mounted inertia sensors. Nothing on fenders.

What bumper that is on the front doesn't matter. ARB is using this as a marketing ploy. It's Bull Shit, just like 90 percent of the rest of the companies using safety as a marketing ploy.

I've done a mod or two
They're on the fender metal, right above or slightly in front of the coil buckets. But not affixed to the frame.

I'll have to double check. My '04 is presently getting the planatary gear assembly changed out, hence I am estranged from my truck temporarily, thus suffering from separation anxiety and am drinking heavily to drown my sorrows.

lol thanks, looks like if it persists an inline fuel filter and extension with a new breather might be in order

If I transport the hydraulic cylinder part of my engine hoist laying down horizontal in my truck for a hour of driving, is that a bad thing? Usually it's vertical more or less. I figure they ship from the factory laying down, but I don't know enough about them... Curious because I couldn't find any info online and I bought it from a guy who said it would be bad for it.

Should be fine, that's how mine was brought out to me. Might have to bleed it but that's cake anyway.

Nah you just crack the pressure realease open just a little like you're lowering it and pump a few times. Probably won't even have to do that.

The plan was to wash it, but took a nap. I woke up with such severe pain in one knee that i'm going to have to buy a beige Avalon and a CD of Michael Bolton"s and Christopher Cross's greatest hits.

My right knee has been shot for years, but lately it's been hurting a lot. I need to get it replaced before it buckles like a 200k Tacoma balljoint or a Moog balljoint with 5k

    Getting old sucks

Picked up this little piece of dynamite.

Does anyone know how this would happen, since I bought the truck I've had this oil leak, and I replaced all the seals and stuff and still had the leak, I put UV dye in a couple days ago, followed the leak went up behind the trans, so today I pulled the transmission and followed it back to this divider under the intake manifold, so went into the engine bay and pulled the intake off, spilled a little coolant into the cylinders I think :annoyed:, but uncovered this mess :bananadead:.

WOW yeah that is way bad.

Kind of odd..should have lasted much longer than that. You beat on the rig a lot?

    is that oil or coolant?

If that's oil its coming out from under head gasket from oil galley that feeds cylinder heads. I don't recall any oil galley plugs in that area. IMHO.
