Get it shipped to a border town. Also ask if they can put made in usa on the package. Border doesn't like import stuff and will charge you up the ass

When I was rear-ended back in February, somehow three of the bolts that hold my fan shroud to the radiator disappeared (don't ask me). At the time, I just zip-tied the shroud to the radiator through the bolt holes to hold it on.

I finally cut the zip-ties and installed the proper bolts.

By the way, anyone notice how zipties seem to "age" quickly these days?

Yup, cheap Chinese zip ties will age and fall apart pretty quick, especially if they are exposed to heat.

Last time I saw US made zip ties was at sears...bought a few bags of them and they were/are a lot nicer than the Chinese alternatives, and were only a few bucks more. Don't know if they still carry them, that was a couple years ago.

Haha yeah man. I needed new ones last summer for a fishing trip and could only find the 40lbers and never got around to swapping them. Much better now.

I know I'm beating a dead horse, but what does everyone think on synthetic oil change intervals? 10k pushing it too far? Or is it best to just change by how dirty the oil looks?

I was going to do 6k or 6 months...but at 5k my oil was just too dirty from all the dust we have around here when we go for a while without rain.

So now usually do it at 5k

I use Mobile 1 high mileage and change every 6k-8k and it was pretty clean last change. I think I will go 8k this time.

I use a good K&N oil filter and only change that every 2 oil changes.

There was a guy who has the same set up, but he filled all the voids in the floor pan, most notably sealing off that cubby... and then dynamatted the hell out of it.

    He said there's no rattle.

I'm trying to find that post/thread but I'm not having any luck
