    Supercharged, AEM FIC/6, Meth Inj, ION Alloy's, Radio & Phone steering Wheel controls,Fabtech AAL, Billie's wrapped with 880's , Tundra big brake conversion, bully bars and Pioneer DDin Stereo/dvd with exterrnal usb ports. 290K and going strong.
    Used crank maybe. How's the rod though on the messed up bearing?

    So this is what I'm looking at I have a 97 2.7 just needs head gasket I have bran new pistons and rods

    That crossmember is mangled. But damn dude I'd get a cheapo engine from a yard or something and make a franken motor for it.

    I have a 1997 motor out back of my house that runs just needs a head gasket it just started leaking can I use the 97 block w the 04 head

    Only if you're putting it in an 98-04 because the 04 head doesn't have a distributor hole.

    Yeah it's a 04 tacoma so I was going to use the 04 head on the 97 block they have all the same sensors right

    So is there anything I should look out for should I leave the lower end on the 97 alone and just put new water pump and oil pump and gaskets

    I think all you need to change is the knock sensor to make it compatible

    I mean if it was good still (they usually are) they go a long time. Mine is at 265k and runs great.
