I believe your masking tape hose just vents into the frame rail. The open nipple goes to the intake box.

The extra part looks like the check valve that goes near the EGR. It could also be 4x4 vacuum related, but I'm not sure.

Thanks man - I haven't installed my airbox yet so that's why I haven't hooked up the other line. I've seen a video where a guy has that port I'm talking about just open to the atmosphere. I guess that's why it could vent to the frame rail w/o any problems. Weird it seems to be overlooked in a lot of vsv diagrams!

I'm still not sure about the other part - it's a one-way valve and my truck wasn't equipped with egr... could be 4x4 :notsure:

So it is a drain hose - lol in the other picture it has it disappearing into nowhere and I guess that's why - I didn't understand the diagram never seeing that callout before! Thanks a lot Noah!

Definitely what I'm aiming at. Is that an S-Runner body kit?

Me neither. The 5-Lug S-Runners came with a body kit from the factory, looks good on these trucks. Wonder if I can find a set.

Damn I miss S-Runners. Always wanted one. Nowadays around here I never see them anymore. Still see 1st gens all the time but S-Runners & X-Runners have all disappeared. Never cared much for the X-Runners though.

Shame they discontinued it. Interesting how Toyota had a market for street trucks like that.

that sucks, hope its nothing, but if left on the truck brake fluid will continue to corrode unless you clean it off with plenty of water. It is water soluable so it will break down fast when hosed off but definitely be very liberal with hosing the areas brake fluid could have gone to prevent paint stripping or any rust

Kings, actually any of the fancy coilovers can get all sorts of creaky if not kept very clean. A little triflow never hurt the spherical bearings either

Gotta love the triflow! Keep it in the glovebox

Edit Yeah i figured his squeaking was due to shocks or uca’s but wasnt sure if he still hadnt cleaned off the brake fluid. I sprayed the shit out of my frame and wheel wells and everywhere i spilled brake fluid on my caliper n brake line swap. Probably a bit ocd on it but I figured better safe than sorry haha

Yeah, I wouldn't mind having a S-Runner, supercharged, slammed, & manual trans. They all had 3.4s but not sure if they came in auto too. If i'm not mistaken, the X-Runner was the first to get a 6 speed manual.

Well after all mini trucks (lowriders) trucks were very popular in the 80s. I remember when I was a kid I used to go the park every Sunday to watch the mini trucks. They were all mostly Toyotas, Nissan Hardbodies, & Mazdas B series.

Toyotas were the most popular. There was even a truck club called Toys R Us which was very well known. Most were slammed with artistic paint jobs but there were also raised Toyotas with all chromed out under carriages in that club too. And I mean like monster truck lift. I used to love watching the dancing beds on the minis. Back then they used paint the mural of the truck's club on the back windows.

I remember 13" chrome KMC wheels were the most popular back then. Which is why I find it funny that KMC makes offroad wheels too now. Well maybe they made offroad wheels back then too, I don't know.

only time mine have made noise is AFTER i put that shit on mine. Fuck that. My ADS ones have never made a sound otherwise.

OR when the teflon liner is destoryed and the heims need replaced anyways they started making a ton of noise. Lube is a bandaid for a while in that situation.
