Almost every truck had the same 5x7 chrome/glass headlight, it's just a very 80-90s look. I don't hate the 5x7 look just wanted to get away from the chrome look I guess. These just look a lot more modern https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074LT5B1M

Manual states 75w-90 for front diff, 80w-90 for rear diff. LSD was not available on 1st gens so no additive needed.

But In the past I've alwaysed used Mobil1 75w-90 synthetic, my stock gears still looked good at 215K mi.

I actually just replaced rear diff oil (& trans) today. Just finished running break in on my new gears. I'm using Lucas 85w-140 dino from now on.

The Truck-lite version is $184 each. I've heard good things but it's not worth $370 for headlights to me. For that much I could retro HID projectors that will easily outperform any LED setup for 200mm headlights.

    K, another steel bumper question,

Do all your bumpers have a little mounting bracket like trail gear uses?

Or do just use the bolt holes on the frame?

No. Most plate bumpers you have to modify your frame horns. Trail gear is the only one with the adapter for both gens.

Pelfrey built will have a specific one for 98-00 similar to how cbi does.

My ‘98 has the weird frame horns, so Relentless Fab provided special frame caps to cut and weld onto the stock frame horns. This appears to be only an issue on the 1998-2000 model revision.

I’m thinking about building one, my friend welds for a living and has some access to steel at work, so make make a half way decent looking one, no winch mount or anything.

I guess really anything would be better than the stock one.
    Ya so does my 99

if you build a custom one, do whatever you want. Hell you can buy the adapter from trailgear for your starting point if you wanted.
