Never realized how good stock Steelies look in Gray. Was never a fan of them in plain Black.

Got my rear crossmember made and installed. Not complete yet but it’s together, just a couple minor things to do.

My scan gauge was reading low volts. 10.3-11 volts. So I decided to take my alternator and battery to get tested, alternator had fail the test and battery had low voltage at 9 volts. left the battery there to get recharged, I just got a call back saying battery is charged and it’s good.

Something must be keeping the alternator running constantly, or cutting on and off constantly. Def need to locate that draw.

Front end was sitting low with the skids and bumper. Just bumped it up and it’s much better.

So I’m replacing my drive shaft today as it’s worn out( ujoints, slip joint, Cardin joint) from too many miles (570,000)
and I see the brass dust cover behind the flange on the transfer case is loose and spins easily
with nothing holding it in place.

Do I need to replace it or is it ok just spinning, I don’t know the dynamics behind the dust cover.

I just made it myself this morning. Bent the skidplate mount brackets from 1/4” plate, notched them to fit 1.75” tube and used 3x3x3/16” angle iron for the frame mounts. Couple bends in the tube, weld it and it’s all set. I was originally going to make it a little more complicated, but I settled on this design.

Might be going to a Hi-Lift Trail Fest event at Redbird SRA on Saturday, need to actually put this new armor to use and test this truck out on something other than old gravel roads and short local trails. Didn't realize that Hi-lift was an Indiana born and bred company either which is cool since that's only a few hours from me
