That's right. That makes sense. Because I was looking for a wire that lit up for switches. So use the ashtray one for that.

Are you looking for a fuse to tap into that comes on/off with the truck? When I was installing my AFR gauge, I piggybacked off the gauge cluster fuse...so it comes on whenever I turn the key and off when I take it out.

Kind of. But I don’t want to tie onto something that is being used that can come on with theACC. I don’t want any interference in the circuit. It’s for my TWK 88 DSP. I don’t use those lines so it’s a free line to tap onto.

so i noticed the switch for my reverse light switch is illuminated when the truck is off, should I be concerned that it will kill my battery? Id think that small LED wont do much.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Totally missed that when I checked the ash tray light last night. I always just leave my lights in the ON position. So my quick check showed it off with truck off, and on with truck >AND< lights on.

Quick opinion. So my LBJ bolts where kinda FUBAR'd (from having to remove them so many times) and one was on the verge of being stripped. I'm obviously going to replace them, but should I go to ACE and get the correct length/pitch etc. (cheaper option/quicker) or go with OEM bolts from Toyota (more expensive)

I would think an appropriate grade replacement bolt would be just fine.

If you can find them at Ace I’m sure it would be fine just make sure you get like grade 8 bolts?

the Toyota ones can't be that expensive, they are just bolts after all. Get them from Toyota

I went into Napa once to get LBJ bolts when I picked up my spare CV axle and they told me that they don't sell the right quality bolts for that kind of hardware, and that I needed to go to Toyota. I wouldn't expect Ace to be any different.

Be hard to find Gr. 8 in metric :p
You’re looking for Gr. 10.9 M10 x 1.25, 35mm long. You can buy them from a hardware store for $0.75 each, or from Toyota for $2 each. They are exactly the same.
