We are in our warm snap. Washed the truck yesterday for the first time in months. 3 weeks ago I was replacing the fan clutch and intake in a blizzard....

Don't lose track of the position of the check balls! Get a diagram, make a diagram, take pictures, use dabs of grease. Whatever you have to do to get it right, sucks big time if you misplace any of them

Looks like the driver side seal on my front diff has started leaking. Anyone have the part number for a non-ADD front diff?

Installed my skysoffroaddesign front leaf spring hanger sliders, just letting the paint dry some before popping the springs back in. My welding is better but still not the greatest. Thanks for the tips @Blackdawg and @Adude!

Good advice... I already almost lost one of the little ball detents when I was working on the manual hub dials. Fortunately I found it.

All back together now with Daystar greasable bolts. I didn't use the bushings since my Dakars are still only a couple months old. Save those for later. I did have to sand down the passenger side Daystar bolt as for some reason, the bolt diameter was an RCH too large for the Dakar sleeve and wouldn't go all the way thru. But it's all done now and makes me feel better about those front leaf hangers. Always thought they looked a little weak and needed some kind of reinforcing. Bonus that they are now sliders as well if I need them to be.

Swapped the map and dome lights with some LEDs from superbright LEDs. Without the key turned on the map lights work but the dome light is very dim. However, once the key is turned the dome light works without and issues.

I have the same engine in my 04. Since I’ve replaced the radiator, hoses, WP, TB and thermostat; she stays between 186 and 190 on the scangauage. The needle on the dash gauge is about as accurate and reliable as a politician...

Nope, the champion one. I have a slow leak in my plastic tanker OEM unit, and will be doing a SAS in the near future. This was a perfect chance to upgrade the cooling system while placing things in line with my future plans.

Had I known 100 percent that the shorter unit would properly cool my truck in SC heat, I'd have gotten another plastic tanked unit, particularly since I could get it for around 75 bucks. However, this was just too good to pass up.

You're going to love the Champion. Great unit, cools WAY better than the stock radiator. My guage reads the same in 110° stop and go traffic as it does in 50° at 70mph. (The app on my phone reads around 186° Everytime I look at it.)

Some people say the radiator cap that comes with it leaks. I've been running the cap that came with it for nearly a year, absolutely no problem.

You also need to use a different lower radiator hose and trim it.

Here's part number and an idea of what you have to cut. You can get the hose at O'Reilly's. I think the hose is for a Dodge Neon.

Well... Aside from fluids, the 4x conversion parts list is complete. Everything on this list, that I don't have in my possession, is on order.

Got mine bedlined. Ordered new lights. Will update with lights. First post. Been lurking for years. Finally did something I haven’t seen on here. Thought I’d post. Bed lined!!! It’s crazy how the light changes it. That’s why I had to show a pic of it in my shop. 5A9A5B21-1EA3-4849-9B1D-88D2E7FE025E.jpg B594EA66-0BB9-4853-A2B3-E14AC477B902.jpg
