The shifter console I had done a while ago with the bedliner (only thing I had at the time). And as for the shifter, I thought about it. But do you think it'll get messed up due to constant use?

I'm pretty sure the column part is vinyl and then the button is plastic. Any ideas?

If it's plastic I'd use the Rustoleum you have.

I have no idea if you could take it apart (or would be willing to) but it might be a PITA to use two different paints there.

Maybe just fill the gap between the button and shifter with some tape standing up vertically to prevent the button from getting stuck?

FAAACCCKKKK!!! :annoyed: I messed up something in my shifter. Truck is out of order right now :pout:

There were two screws that held the brown part onto the actual shifter column, but the overdrive button/wiring prevented it from actually being pulled off and separated from the column. So I quit trying to get it off that way and went to put it all back together.

Started up the truck to make sure the shifter was working good... NOPE. It wouldn't let me out of park unless I pushed the pin down into the other gears. And when I did get it free after pushing the pin. It would only move between Reverse and 2nd.

I'm sure something in the button area isn't catching well. Not sure how to fix that.

So. I went from OME 881's with ~1 year of use/13k miles. To Toyec/Eibach 112-620's up front. In the rear, i had bought the Wheelers 5-Pack on a group buy at the same time as my 881's.

I installed the 2" AAL from Wheelers, and 3* axle shims from Toytec. (Little did i know, the shims actually gave me .25/.5 of additional lift as they're basically small tapered blocks.) The 2" AAL apears to have given me closer to 2.5, At first it was a solid 3, but after about 45 miles, they've settled and i'm relieved. I figure with my topper on or a full load, the 2.5 will quickly settle to 2" which is exactly what i wanted. While we were in there, i replaced the inner and outer tie rods. Inners are Napa's high end line, outers are Moog greasables.

Also - there's a video another member linked to that works AMAZING for swapping coils. Obviously, attempt at your own risk, but for us, everything went smoothly and it was way easier than using a spring compressor (which we used to install the 881's) or paying someone to swap the coils. http://youtu.be/vkVLBOnAifc
