Really ? Just plug and play. No issues with wires melting?

You are 100% correct. However, there is only so much salt I have, to take with online reviews. It's like beer, I've read that a certain IPA is outstanding but when it hit my pallet, it was lackluster. The only way to find out what is best is to taste it for yourself ;)

All factory wires. The GE +120 Wattages are the same as factory. As a matter of fact my favorite bulbs, the now discontinued Osram 64205 were 70/65W and never had an issue. I could have possibly gained some lumens with a harness upgrade to decrease the voltage drop but never bothered. Long story short, you will be just fine.

Your stock wiring are limiting your new headlight bulbs. The replacement wiring kit has larger gauge wires that are capable of carrying more amperage which will unlock the full potential of those high wattage bulbs.

That was my thought too. I figured even if they weren't all that great I was still money ahead if I would have bought some overpriced Silverstars. If Daniel Stern recommends them they are good. Granted they still aren't factory HID but still an upgrade.

I might still do the harness upgrade. Wife is on my ass for a Christmas gift. It's cheap and useful.

I've tasted it, but I haven't finished it yet to determine if it's gonna be good ;) need to actually drive the truck beyond my driveway to see. And that's not including the "taste" using the Tacoma housings :anonymous:

Stock bulbs are 55watt, what are those?

This is true. The Depo's have an inferior reflector that is playing a role in this.

I've done a mod or two
I'm pretty sure it's all the same Chinese kids making them, could be the difference between the low buck and the CAPA certified parts though, both have tiers
