If the outers are done, the inners aren’t too far behind. I think the saying is cry a little now, or a lot later... try to measure as best you can, it will make the ride to the alignment shop less stressful.

it was getting dark and a little too chilly to be out so I just bolted the old hold down back until later (its supposed to be raining here the next couple of days)
the new bolt did screw in properly but would only go so far down (big gap compared to original one as the new one is a tad bit longer) This old bolt has probably only been removed twice with each new battery, corrosion wasn't too bad, inner threads cleaned up shiny with the WD-40. This custom hold down looks real snazzy, I think my truck is gonna like it. I will need to make sure the next battery I get has a red top to match!

I'll back this up, I replaced my outers @180k and when I pulled them off the inners were toast as well. I was kicking myself because I already had everything torn down, I should have just sucked it up and ordered them as well cause I've been putting off replacing them for like 2 months now.

Most Ace's should have them, depending on their hardware selection size. Most larger selections should have at least a few boxes of 10.9 metric bolts. If you're tight with the staff and know what you need they can have their Hillman rep order you literally anything. It SHOULD be a painless process as well.

I know you probably needed them now rather than a few days out, and also probably not a box worth, but still handy info. Used to do it all the time when I worked there for some snazzy 3/8-16 polished black chrome cap head screws a customer would special order all the time. Expensive bastards but damn they looked nice

There is no such thing as "automotive grade' bolts. There are grades as far as 5, 8, etc, but any grade 8 bolt is equivalent to another.

I'm split on the rear bumper situation- agreed to get flush mount lights for the bumper snafu cause I don't want to wait many months for another bumper batch and deal with shipping... But that hitch will be a constant reminder... Sucks. Will probably end up just cutting it off.

again, it will be very easy to cut off and just slap back on there. Just find a local welder, take it to them and explain very clearly what you want. Maybe Relentless can cover some of the cost. Shouldn't take a local person long.

Just replaced my body mount bushings. Used a high-lift and a 3 foot 2x4 to lift the cab. Took about an hour and a half. 0F9BB469-3F14-4E16-8D12-0F8A449BA809.jpg

at that point and if you're getting OEM parts, you may as well just order a full new steering rack from Toyota. That's where I be soon depending on how soon I clean out my power steering pump reservoir filter.

I just replaced my inners and outers. At 85k. They were both fine. I hope to get another 80k and I’ll replace the whole rack next time around

I need to do this. How difficult was it to get to the cab bolts?

I have 205k on my steering rack and TREs are still fine. I just have some leaking and noise because the filter is probably all clogged up in the reservoir.
